WHAT’S NEXT, LYONS?
Making his Brisbane debut tonight at the Brisbane Comedy Festival with his show What’s Next, Ciaran Lyons performed stand up to a very receptive audience.
At just 22 years old, Lyons has already made his mark on the Australian comedy scene with appearances on The Project, ABC TV’s Comedy Bites Gala and triple j’s Good Az Friday live show (he is also a regular presenter on triple j).
Tuesday night comedy in Brisbane is a tough gig but Lyons took it in his stride with professionalism. With exceptional crowd-working skills, Lyons has a unique ability to break down the fourth wall and make everyone feel at ease.
What’s Next is a comedy conversation between Lyons and the audience with discussion about massages in Thailand, music festivals, road trips, break ups, and moving out of home. The hilarious highlight of the show is his story about being at the traffic lights and witnessing a driver’s reaction to his voice on the radio.
